INTERMODAL

The movement of goods and products in Mexico has increased considerably during the last years, a trend that is expected to continue well into the future. According to statistics from the Mexican Association of Railroads, cargo traffic in tons/kilometer grew 18.7 % in 2005 (El Financiero 2/7/06).  The Canadian Pacific Railway, to take only one example, expects to transport between five and ten thousand truck-loads from Mexico to Canada from the Mabe Electric Appliances factory, according to the CEO of the Canadian company (El Financiero 2/7/06).
 
Today, Mexico offers many investment possibilities in the cargo and transportation business. However, despite the considerable growth and need for multimodal services, the quality, efficiency, and supply of this sector has not met the increased demand.

The Mexican Department of Communications and Transportation designated our property as the preferred site for the next intermodal terminal.
